BIOGRAPHY
I am a freelance costume designer and artist based in Nottingham, UK, originally from Scotland. I graduated in July 2005 as a mature student with a degree in Performance Costume and I have since been finding my own path which has led me to wonderful and unexpected places.
I am now able to focus much more on my artwork and accessories inbetween commissions and contract work, so please keep checking back for regular updates and additions to my shop.

MY INSPIRATIONS AND IDEAS
I am dedicated to expressing my interests and obsessions in order to form beautifully textured and hopefully unique interpretations within my work, whether that be my artwork, accessories or indeed my costumes.

My influences are many and varied, however I love to develop conceptual ideas in particular working from nature, history and archaeology, all things ancient and textured. Angels, marionettes and the baroque feature heavily in my work. Inspired by photographers such as Floria Sigismondi, Joel Peter-Witkin, artists Leonard Baskin, poets such as Edgar Allen Poe and Sylvia Plath and visual work such as unique art dolls, puppets, textile artists, the list is endless!!

MY WORK
No 2 days are the same! As well as making corsets, costumes and leather armour, in my spare time I also love working with textiles, making accessories, leathercraft, knitting, crochet and drawing/illustrating. I am a bit of jack of all trades really and always open to explore new techniques and take up any challenges.
